Auto Repair Near Sierra Madre

Sierra Madre calls itself the Village of the Foothills, and it drives that way. There are almost no traffic lights inside the city, just at the edges where it meets Pasadena and Arcadia. That part is easy on a car.

The canyons aren't. The roads up into Sierra Madre Canyon are narrow, winding and steep. Coming down, you're braking in short, hard bursts with a lot of steering at low speed. Watch for pads that squeal, a pedal that feels softer at the bottom of the hill, or a hot smell after the drive down. Those are the early signs, and they're cheaper to deal with than a warped rotor.
